Born in 1936, Yves Saint Laurent began his career as an assistant to Monsieur Christian Dior, whom he will replace on his death in 1957 as artistic director. In the early 1960s, Yves Saint Laurent, associated with his friend Pierre Bergé, created the signature that bears his name. The first Y and Pour Homme perfumes will be followed by many others including Rive Gauche, Opium, Paris, Kouros and more precisely L’HOMME and Elle.
